there's truly no substitute for antique hand engraved lettering and this "Mother" is a wonderful example of old hand lettering

C O N D I T I O N 

in good upcycled condition

there are several small areas where there are tiny file mark losses to the gold where someone previously acid tested the gold 

visible areas where the brooch hardware was removed revealing the the different hue in long-ago solder

hallmarks were lost when the pin hardware was removed

overall the finish on the pendant is matte/brushed

the bar is a sturdy hollow form and is free from any crushed areas, but will have minor dents and warbles

this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
